The Bob Aaron Memorial Scholarship Memorializing a man who loved fishing & the environment
Bob Aaron was an avid angler who also had a strong appreciation for the natural environment. He spent 35 years as an employee at the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and was often found volunteering at “Clean the Bay Day” and BBRF’s “Flyway Feast,” both events focused on environmental stewardship.
We will award scholarships to high school seniors who share these same passions for fishing and protecting the environment. Applications are due April 30, 2018.
We awarded two $1000 scholarships in 2012, two more $1000 scholarships in 2013, and two more each year in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and three in 2017! We'd like to thank all who applied and we wish them the best in their future endeavors.
2019 Bob Aaron Memorial Scholarship Applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2019
